How long does the procedure take?
The procedure is a series of needle sticks that takes fifteen to thirty minutes.

Will I see immediate results with the Botox injections?
You may see some immediate results, but it usually takes seven days to see results that will continue to improve up to one month after the injections.

How long does the Botox injection last?
Usually two to four months, depending on your body’s reaction. The procedure cannot be repeated in less than three months.

Are there any special restrictions after the injections?
No lying down, bending over, taking a hot shower, sweating, rubbing your face, or cooking over a hot stove for at least six hours.

What are the side effects?
There is a possibility of temporary swelling, bruising, or slight headache. On occasions there could be an eyelid droop that will relax in a couple of weeks. On rare occasions other more serious side effects have been reported.

Are fillers safe for everyone?
You cannot have injections if you are pregnant, lactating, or trying to conceive. You cannot have injections if you have any protein allergies to foods such as nuts or eggs. You cannot have injections if you have an immune system deficiency due to allergies. You need to inform the nurse or physician of any medications you are taking. Not all injectable and dermal fillers are compatible, so if you have had any in the preceding three to six months, be sure to tell the nurse and/or physician. If you are taking blood thinners you have a littler greater chance for bruising.

Which filler is right for me?
All fillers add volume to the tissues, shaping the contours of the face, correcting folds, and enhancing lips. The type of solution you will need is determined by the corrections you wish to make to your face.

How long does the filler injection last?
The treatment can last six months or more, but lips usually last four to six months. Touch-up and follow-up treatments can help sustain your desired degree of correction.

Are there any special restrictions after the injections?
Avoid exposure to extreme heat, such as sunbathing or tanning booths. Avoid exercise and alcohol for six hours. Avoid aspirin medications, St John’s Wort, and high doses of Vitamin E supplements for one week. Avoid vigorous contact with the treated area for six hours. Apply cold compresses to help reduce swelling and redness.
