Mommy Makeover

This is a term used for women who want to restore their post pregnancy bodies. A “Mommy Makeover” can help reverse the effects of pregnancy and the procedures involved may include breast augmentation, breast lift, tummy tuck, and liposuction. During your initial consultation with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, the doctor will discuss with you the combination of procedures to best restore your post pregnancy body.

I found the entire team to be very personable, concerned for my comfort and modesty, and easy to talk with.  Thanks so much!

Mommy Makeover: Common Questions

Am I a good candidate?
A good candidate should be at or near their ideal body weight, have realistic expectations and be finished with childbearing.  You should also be committed to caring for yourself both before and after surgery by quitting smoking, taking adequate time off of work, and arranging for help around the house.

How much does a Mommy Makeover cost?
The cost for your Mommy Makeover is dependent on the procedures that you and your surgeon decide upon together.  You will be provided a written quote at your consultation after all of the factors have been discussed.  We also offer financing options to ensure that your procedure fits into your budget.

How soon after having children can I have a Mommy Makeover?
This answer will be different for each mother.  It is important that your weight is stable and that you are done breastfeeding.  You should also be able to commit to certain restrictions following surgery that some mothers find difficult, such as not lifting a child for a few weeks.

What happens if I have more children after my Mommy Makeover?
While perfectly safe to have more children after your surgery, future pregnancies would likely reverse some of your positive cosmetic results.

Where will my procedure be performed?
Your surgery will be performed at Southwest Surgical Suites, a highly accredited surgery center partially owned by physicians and Lutheran Hospital.

When may I resume my normal activities?
Recovery time will vary from patient to patient and will be dependent on the procedures that are performed.  Most women are able to return to work after about 2 weeks.  During your recovery you will be advised to avoid activities that require lifting and bending.
