Matthew E. Shambaugh, MD
Dr. Matthew Shambaugh has been practicing in Fort Wayne since 1991 as a board-certified plastic surgeon. He is committed to providing excellent care and services to his patients. A founder of Plastic Surgery Associates and a member of Summit Plastic Surgery, Dr. Shambaugh maintains memberships in The American Society of Aesthetic Surgery, American Society of Plastic Surgery, American Board of Plastic Surgery, Indiana State Medical Society, and Fort Wayne Medical Society.
Dr. Shambaugh has additional training in cosmetic surgery, as well as microsurgery. He also participates in multiple national and regional plastic surgery meetings as part of his commitment to provide the Fort Wayne community with new and exciting procedures and techniques in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery for the benefit of the patients. Immediately following the devastating earthquake, Dr. Shambaugh volunteered his surgical expertise for medical missions to both Guatemala and Haiti. Reid Pflueger, DO
Dr. Pflueger is a Fort Wayne native, graduating from Bishop Dwenger High School. He studied at Purdue University where he earned his bachelor of science in nursing degree. As a Registered Nurse, he worked for several years in the emergency department in Lafayette, Indiana and then at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.
He then decided to further his education, so he attended medical school for additional training. Dr. Pflueger attended Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, Florida. After medical school, he returned to Indiana for his residency in plastic surgery at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis. He obtained extensive training concentrating in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery.
Dr. Pflueger enjoys all types of cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. He has special interest in treating melanoma. His current focus is performing all types of breast surgery, including cancer reconstruction and augmentation with the rapid recovery breast augmentation technique. The rapid recovery breast augmentation allows patients to return to normal activities the day of surgery.
Dr. Pflueger, his wife, and three children are extremely pleased to return home to Fort Wayne. He is thrilled to have the opportunity to take care of the community that he grew up in.
